SO what is MIYAHIRA ZENZAI??

Miyahira Zenzai is the name of a famous dessert shop in Nago. Zenzai is the name of a dessert and Miyahira is the name of the person who makes Zenazai and Tempura. We think that Miyahira Zenzai is the best Zenzai shop in Nago! And you can feel Okinawa with stinking delicious Zenzai near the beautiful sea!! We do recommend that you visit there!



What is ZENZAI?

Zenzai is a dessert that has sweet soybeans and three rice-flour dumplings and special sauce. And then soft ice is put on top of those ingredients. You can choose two kinds of zenzai. Those are milk zenzai and normal zenzai. Milk zenzai has condensed milk added to normal zenzai. The zenzai is so good. The soft ice dissolves in your mouth. The combination of the special sauce and soft ice is very good. It’s like pizza and cola. The zenzai usually has two rice-flour dumplings. But occasionally there are three rice-flour dumplings in the zenzai. It’s so lucky. The zenzai makes me happy all day.

What is TEMPURA?

Tempura is vegetables or seafood dipped in batter and deep-fried. And the batter is made from flour and eggs. It is served with dipping sauce or salt. Tempura is a typical Japanese home cooked dish. Eat it while it is hot!

Where is MIYAHIRA ZENZAI?

Go straight up route 58 until you get to the restaurant “GUSTO” in Nago and turn left. Go down the street for four blocks and you’ll see “LAWSON (in the NAGO bypass)” on the RIGHT, not left!! Turn left and go straight 500m!! When you see a electric signboard on the right, stop your car. You can see it on the right at the same place as the electric signboard!!!!

When can we get it?

The ZENZAI shop opens at 11:00am and closes at 6:30pm. Wednesdays, the shop is closed.

How to order “ZENZAI”

We will tell you how to buy the Zenzai at the Zenzai Shop. But before you buy it or visit the shop, there are some things that I need to let you know. The woman Mrs. Miyahira who works at the shop can’t speak English, so we think it’s better to learn Japanese before you visit. So… we will teach you Japanese!!!

After you arrive at the shop, you will see small windows on the left side of the shop. You can open the window and try to order if you want to. “Can I get Zenzai?” in Japanese is “Zenzai kudasai.” That’s it! It’s not too difficult!! If you want Tempura, not Zenzai, you just have to change the word Zenzai to Tempura, so it’s gonna be “Tempura kudasai.” That’s it!! And just pay the money. If you thought it was delicious, you can also try to say “Oishi!!” It means delicious. At last, actually I want you to say to her with your smile :) “Arigato!” It means “Thank you.”
