Tanpopo

    TANPOPO
Speaking of curry restaurants in north Okinawa, TANPOPO is No.1. It has been more than fifty years since the foundation of the restaurant, and it started to offer curry and rice thirty years ago. This restaurant is near Nago city office. You go straight on Japan National Route 58 from Kyoda inter-change and turn right when you see the Nago city office. At the end of the street, please turn right and you can find it on your left. Now many visitors from other prefectures come there and it will become more popular.

When you open the door of the restaurant, the heavenly smell of the curry will welcome you. The restaurant has dim lighting and an antique interior. It's like a retro-inspired cafe with a fairly calm atmosphere. There is an oblong counter and table seats. In front of the counter, so many bottles of liquor are displayed. It has a nice mood at night additionally. You can enjoy the curry loved by Okinawan people in a relaxed atmosphere.

There are many dishes and drinks on the menu. There are 8 kinds of curry, and they are divided into 7 levels of spiciness. They cost less than 1,100 yen. You can have combos: curry, salad, fruit, yakult, and coffee or tea. There are combos of dessert: a cake from 5 kinds of cake and coffee or tea. There are alcoholic drinks and tidbits, too. I ate a mild vegetable curry. Some broccoli, green beans and onions were in it, so it was delicious and good for your body.

Which curry do you like? I ate a mushroom curry . There are a lot of mushrooms and a few kinds of them. So if you like mushrooms, you must choose it. Also there is a special menu each day. It is cheaper than usual. you have to go. It's a surprise for you. Anyway, the curry and rice at TANPOPO are so good! Please try, you will like it!
